Welcome to the 2020 SkillsUSA Florida Virtual Interviewing Contest!

SkillsUSA prepares students for career success. With all the changes in our world, more and more employers are turning to virtual hiring practices to cut costs, hire faster, and widen their labor pool. SkillsUSA Florida has created resources to help prepare students for successful interviewing in a virtual world.

Advisors will receive the “10 Steps to a Successful Virtual Interview” and “Resume 101” resources. Students will practice their virtual interviewing skills with their instructor and create a professional resume geared towards the job description they select. Students can then participate in a school-level contest, with the top 3 per cluster advancing to the semi-final round of competition.

Semi-finalists will record a video displaying their skills in relation to a job posting, and those videos will be judged by business and industry partners to determine the top 10 per cluster to advance to the final round of competition.

For the final round, students will participate in live virtual mock interviews with a panel of industry professionals. Gold, silver, and bronze medals will be awarded to the winners during a virtual awards ceremony on February 8, 2021.

Scenarios:
  • The first letters of file name are the career cluster

  • Organize by cluster, list by job title
