The State Leadership and Skills Conference is the premier CTE event in the state of Florida. The top students in over 100 different skill and leadership competitions gather to compete against their peers for a chance to advance to the National Leadership and Skills Conference. These competitions allow students to hone their technical skills, connect with business and industry, and become skilled professionals, career-ready leaders, and responsible community members.

In addition to competitions, students are invited to participate in other conference activities to further their careers and connect them with potential future employers. During the Meet the Employer Career Fair, more than 50 local, state, and national companies are looking to recruit and hire students for immediate job openings. The CONNECTED Expo and Trade Show showcases business and industry partners and their products, services, and career opportunities.

SCHOOL REGISTRATION PAYMENT DEADLINE: March 18, 2024

Students must be joined SkillsUSA members prior to February 1 to be eligible for competition.
Some regions have earlier membership deadlines; check with your Regional Coordinator for more information.

Following the Closing and Awards Ceremony, there is a mandatory meeting for all Gold medalists and their advisors to obtain registration information about the National Conference. Information regarding the national conference will also be distributed via the Tuesday Times prior to the state conference.
