Aim Hire
Aim Hire is an initiative that will encourage students to develop essential workplace skills. Students will discover elements of professionalism and soft skills that are in demand by industry. SkillsUSA helps each student excel, and Aim Hire is designed to be the first step in a lifelong journey of professional development. By developing leadership skills, these students are setting themselves up for future employment.
Social Media Ambassadors
SkillsUSA Florida is looking for students to create and post content on SkillsUSA Florida’s social media outlets during the conference. This position will assist in the development of communication skills as well as computer and technology literacy. Eligible applicants are reliable, familiar with social media outlets (Facebook, Twitter,and Instagram), and demonstrate responsible social media usage.
Selected participants are required to attend a pre-conference training beginning at 6:00 PM on Sunday, April 19 prior to Opening Ceremony. Social Media Ambassadors will receive a press pass for the conference, as well as backstage access during Opening and Closing Ceremonies.
VIP Interview Host
SkillsUSA Florida is looking for on-screen talent to facilitate interview of VIP guests during the SLSC! Interviews will be held throughout the conference with ESE Networks and footage will be used in the future promotional materials and the conference recap video.
Community Service
Students and advisors, want to help give back to the community at SLSC? Join us for our “We are Green, We are SkillsUSA” community service project. Participants will develop their teamwork and responsibility skills through this project.
